About the Author Steven Smith was born February 21, 1969 in West Palm Beach to a life that defined his purpose. He wasn’t raised in the best home but it was where he was supposed to be to know God’s purpose for his life. Like many kids today Steven was raised in a turbulent home. He dealt with emotional, mental and physical abuse at the hands of his “Father". Although Steven’s natural father was in his life, it wasn’t the way he needed him to be. While being physically abusive to his mother and bringing other women into their home, Steven’s father was emotionally and mentally abusive to him even calling him a faggot. In search of a Father Figure, Steven found that love at the hands at the hands of a family member that was molesting him. The abuse engulfed Steven’s primary years. The molester became his “Father”. Although Steven knew what was happening was wrong it gave him the security his father could not at the time. Steven saw himself becoming a carbon copy of his father. Throughout middle and high school he acted out. Not because he was a bad ass child but because he was crying out for the attention he craved and asking for help but to no avail because no one took the time to listen. Steven clung to his mother while wanting his father to be the one to save him from the instability he helped create. His mother couldn’t cling back due to the hurt and pain she was suffering but she always encouraged him to be a better man.Steven continued to seek out men that loved him and could fill that void although each time it was temporary. Countless other men came into Steven’s life and became yet again his “father” and eventually his lover. Eventually he grew up and moved away but his problems followed. He was looking for love until he stopped and realized he had all the love he needed the entire time. He had the love of GOD! God showed him he was so much more than that little boy who was abused and acting out. God heard his cry and showed him his true talents. His cry became a song, his run became a dance, his stomping while acting out became a tune and the love for style and fashion became the renowned Steven Smith! God let Steven know that he could sing, dance, play music put a style together like no other. Steven continues to use his experiences and strength to encourage and uplift those that are hurting and downtrodden. Steven has a personality that energizes all that come in contact with him.

We have no idea what a person with a big smile such as Steve have gone through. His transparency in this book is an awesome page turner. He has allowed the world to know every gory detail of his being deceived on what love is. Throughout Steven's life he looked for that deceptive love in all the wrong people and places. Steven loved and wanted to be loved but that spirit of deception kept drawing him and confusing him. In spite of all Steven heard two voices that were calling for him, his mom and God.
