1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Love the Rose Hill characters By Book Lover I borrowed this book from the Kindle Library. This the eighth book in the Rose Hill mystery series. I really love the characters and love the way Pamela Grandstaff manages to keep each book a stand alone novel and yet intertwines the characters from previous books to make us remember them perfectly. Socialite Gigi is found dead from an allergic reaction. The three cousins Maggie, Claire and Hannah feel it is their duty to help Scott Gordon, Maggie’s police chief husband, find the killer. Gig’s retarded son is the main suspect, but the cousins are convinced he is innocent. The other relatives of Gigi, Chip her nephew and his wife are not the innocent pillars of the society of Rose Hill. Another rousing mystery and I highly recommend this book.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. An amazing trip! By mysterygirl I just spent the last week visiting Rose Hill, WV. The Fitzpatrick clan , dysfunctional extended family and friends dealt with many of life's most difficult challenges while solving crimes.I enjoyed the introduction of new friends or family in each book (I read them back-to-back while ignoring house work) and the way they blended into the mix. Because I read them all at once I didn't need all the background narrative that was included, but otherwise they were great! I laughed, I cried, I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Scruggs This is a very engaging series about the residents of a small town in West Virginia and the unusual events (surprising murders) that occur there. A trio of cousins, a bookseller, a former hairdresser, and an animal control officer, can't seem to avoid getting involved, despite words of warning from the town's police chief. There is always romance and family drama along with the crime solving, creating a fictional hometown you'd love to visit.
