When I set out to write these books, I wanted to create something that mirrored exactly the kind of books I like to read. My top picks are usually espionage and private detective novels, any of the thousands of thrillers and mysteries best sellers, and, of course, books featuring classic pulp heroes. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Fascinating premise By Orcanator This book has a lot of moving parts to it and kept me engaged in the unfolding story. I received "Devolution" and the following two books in the series via a free offer, something I'm happy to say has introduced me to two new authors I wouldn't have known about but for that marketing approach. While the book kept me interested enough to know what happened next, the graphic sexual content that occurs occasionally, and during times when most libidos would be subjugated for the situation they occur in was odd to this less is more person. That said, I intend to move onto the following book in the series as I'm interested in how things work out.

It required that the reader pay attention as new characters were introduced. That said, the set was well-paced with many twists and turns. The main character, Sam Jameson, was complex. She was interesting and tough with a gentle side.The books definitely left the path open for another book in the series. I need to go back and read the previous Sam Jameson novels. .
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Ayn Rand's Atlas suffers hernia.... By P. D. Durie Terrific premise brought full circle. Think Atlas, instead of shrugging, gets kicked in the groin. A fun ride. Though I did find the Honduran torture scenes somewhat distracting and ended up skipping through those chapters, very interesting read.
