12 of 12 people found the following review helpful. Who'd have guessed? By talkslikeaduck I have known Steve for years and he never let on about his condition. This book was interesting and revealing in explaining his condition and how he dealt with it for decades. I truly understand how most people want to "fit in" and be one of the crowd, and there are many conditions that make each of us feel that we are not a "normal" person... so "normal" is just an unreachable state. However, as Steve slowly discovered, synesthesia is a real condition that must be dealt with, and in reading it would appear to me that Steve really did quite well in dealing with his condition and was a real champion in writing a book about it! So, I enjoyed reading the book, even though it is not yet available in audio format!

Steve Margolis perfectly balances a laugh out loud sense of humor with heartfelt anecdotes about a condition many people don't know about. I was thoroughly engaged the entire time and enjoyed reading about such a unique topic that refreshingly felt more like fiction than your typical memoir. I hope there is more to come from this guy because he is hilarious and seems like he has a lot more stories to share!

I really enjoyed this book and hope to read more from this author! He shares his life openly and humorously. I had not heard of synesthesia before but I will research more on this interesting topic. Once I began reading I could ot put the book down without finishing it.
