Not so the case with THE BATTLE. A sequel to THE WARRIORS, THE BATTLE does not skip a beat. The style of the story line by Gary Naiman, is as if one put down a book and picked it up the next day to continue. There is no delay or jump from THE WARRIORS to THE BATTLE. THE BATTLE introduces new antagonists, and had me rooting for the Warriors introduced in the first book. No, the predicable end does come with this book. The reader is the winner. I found myself engaged with the characters and choosing with whom to side. One cannot help but get involved in the storyline. You will find yourself embroiled in the plots and subplots. Very pleased with this offering and hoping for more to come.

The final hundred pages pulled the entire two-book story together. Best scenes were the battle on the mountain and the climber's final words. The final chapter shook me with its nuclear warning that seems so true in today's world. I liked both books for their intrigue, emotional spirituality, and historical accuracy.

Snider Very important to read the previous book....this has a lot of intrigue that develops as the book progresses, and begins to come together as the book begins to conclude. A LOT of twists and turns. Great plot development and character descriptions. Can't wait for the next book.
