1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Something for everyone who loves a great read By Mary Gramlich Mike Reardon has been in too many tough spots to ever fear the unknown. But being asked to go into the bowels of Mother Russia and retrieve the kidnapped daughter of a high ranking military official even gives him hesitation. Well a little hesitation until they give him the number monetary dollars he will be paid to do this job, any delays are gone.With his team of experts in place Mike moves from one piece of the recovery to the next with the mindset that everything was going too well, something bad is going to happen. When you expect trouble it tends to show up and when it did everything start exploding, literally all around them. The rescue had a huge glitch with the kidnappers turning out to be much worse than described and the main target having escaped but not falling into the right hands, again.Mike never walks away from a job or a good steak and in this latest Repair Man book the action never stops and the writing is as always amazing.

Spoiler alert.This one starts with three girls on a summer cruise. Betty Jean Holland known as BJ to her friends, , Phyllis Everettes and Coleen Clarkson are the three young women on the cruise. They are having the time of their lives till they get to Tallinn, Estonia.On the ship they befriend a young Slavic girl, Adrian Posovitch. This woman will be their downfall as they are kidnapped and held in a house in the middle of the woods in Estonia.Enter Mike Reardon. A Reardon who gets a phone warning from his best friend Pax Weatherwax. A warning telling Mike to bug out and bug out now. Reardon makes it to his storage unit and gets his van and motorcycle and heads out. He's just in time as he spots a dark SUV headed toward his storage unit.Mike is wondering what the hell is going on and who the hell is looking for him?? When he calls Pax next Pax tells him Army Intelligence is looking or him. They have Federal warrants for Mike, Skip Allen Mikes 6'5" Marine Force Recon buddy and everyone who went with Mike to Afghanistan for Scroder. There are half a dozen reasons why the Fed's would have a warrant for Mike and his crew.Pax tells Mike to go deep and get rid of the phone he's using. Mike sets up a meet with Pax so he can get some money. He and Pax will meet at Wal-Mart #2 on their list. Mike decides its time to go fishing till he can meet with Pax.Mike meets with Pax in the Wal-Mart lot and Pax tells him a General Peabody and some brass want Mike front and center. They want his help.That's when they are nabbed. Seems the whole warrants thing was just so they could locate Mike and set up a meet. Mikes old commander Scroder is on the phone so Mike and Pax will be heading for a meeting in DC.Mike and Pax land in a meeting with General Peabody, Mike's old commander Scroder and a laundry list of three letter agenies. Seems the General Holland a four star general and the US lieason to Nato's daughter has been kidnapped. They want Mike and a team to get them back. Of course its all on the down lo and if discovered the Govt. will disavow any knowledge of Mikes mission. So what else is new??So begins another damned fine Reardon read by Martin.This one has Mike, Pax, Skip, BeBe Gunter ex Navy SEAL, TooBad Micheals ex Delta Force, Hank Hauseman, BJ Holland, a dacha full of bad guys, a trip to Estonia on the Russian border, motor cycles, phones that are more than phones, pens that are more than pens, a BJ who escapes on her own, a BJ who makes to help from and old couple, rape, murder, an attack by Mike and his team on a dacha, the bad guys who get some help from across the border, a guy named Goings who turns out to be one hell of a fighter form Mike and his team, death destruction, a kidnapper with an agenda, his less than savory crew, warthogs, a Govt. that decides they don't owe Mike and his team anything because BJ got away on her own and Mike Reardon and his crew doing their best to kill the bad guys and get out alive.Five Stars.

Wagner All the stops are pulled to recover a kidnapped American general's daughter and her friends and preserve the peace in Europe. A renegade band of terrorists tries to hustle and blackmail a US general into revealing NATO secrets and when he goes for assistance, it's all page-turning action that is forced by tight deadlines and evil intent. A great addition to the series and well worth the time.
