By Kaylene Osborn Krinos (Take Over Book 1)Krinos is an interesting story which follows Eliza or as most people know her Krinos who's being prepared by her father to take over the family drug business. She's a feisty alpha female if there is such a thing and she's prepared to do whatever it takes. She meets hot as hell Stefanos, who for the most part rocks her world. Stefanos also becomes very smitten, very quickly with the bad ass Krinos. Krinos is her father's daughter and she has no qualms about the fact that she will become boss of the "business”.This story contains violence, drugs and sex. It is an interesting story and is a nice quick read. It’s only Book One of the Take Over Series by T.L. Smith but does not end on a cliff hanger although there is more to come I am sure. I read this book pretty much in one sitting and found it a great read. I gave this book 5 stars.Kalon (Take Over Book 2)Kalon, is the second book in the Take Over series. It continues where the first book finished and is the story of Eliza (Krinos) and Stefanos, her Greek God.Krinos, is a tough woman, very tough and she really shines through in this portion of the story. We are introduced to a number of new characters, which all add to the intrigue of the story line. It also shows a softer side to Krinos, although she would hate for me to say that.Who wouldn't love Stefanos? He really is a Greek God in all ways. He's definitely one of my current book boyfriends. Just love his dominant and demanding ways.This is a very quick read, but I loved it. I absolutely cannot wait for the third installment. I give this book five stars.Kratos (Take Over Book 3)Kratos is written in Stefanos’ point of view and most definitely does not disappoint. This story just gets better and better and this book completes the Take Over Series. It gives a little background of the young Stefanos and then continues on from book two.I love Stefanos’ point of view, it shows how he changes into the man he is, once he meets Eliza or his “Princess”. Book three takes on a different path when finally Stefanos becomes Eliza’s Kratos.Although this is a short novella, it packs a punch and I thoroughly recommend the final book. I give this book a five star rating and cannot wait for more books by T. L. Smith.

By Tanja Silvanus is on edge. he’s feeling like he’s lost a lot of power since Tucker stood up to him. since the pesky ranger found himself a mate he’s been stronger, luckily not realizing how strong he really could be. still it all unsettled Silvanus. that’s until he came across a beautiful woman at the park, she had his cougar belly up the moment they saw and smelled her. but being against humans (unlike tucker) he battles internally with his desire to be near her. convincing himself he has to stay away and has to find the girl he imprinted on as a young boy. only Gabs is able to help him because she’s the only other one who figured out he was the cougar that saved them when they were young. Gabs is reluctant to tell who her friend is but when she does reveal who she is and that she’s even in town, silvanus is thrown for a loop. his cougar being the smarter one, he already figured out that Hailey was theirs. how will he get back into her good graces having been rather rude to her? how will he come clean about who and what he really is?the local bad boy may have found his match. only his standing up for her makes his pack exile him. will he turn from town bully to the town outcast? will he be able to let hailey see the real him? how will the others react to the big change in silvano?you’ll enjoy this read if you have read the first one!!free copy gifted in exchange for an honest review.

Ember picks up right just where Spark ended, but with the introduction of Hailey. Back in town for her grandfather’s funeral, Hailey has been gone since a traumatic childhood incident 20 years ago. Now she is expected to take over running her grandfather’s diner, for which everyone in town seems to warn her to watch out for the local gang of thugs. Brock Silvanus is the leader of those “thugs” and uses intimidation to keep his Alpha status among the townsfolk and his pack of panther shifters. Then a chance encounter with Hailey brings to light their shared history and the fact that she is his mate. Now he has to prove himself to her, yet somehow retain his status as intimidating alpha, but not let her delve too deeply into the secrets of the past…Yeah, that really doesn’t work out they way Brock planned! Ember was a great, lose yourself in the characters, engaging story. The third book in the series will be calling my name upon release! I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

By Theresa Pietrowski This takes the second book in this series and it start with Hailey coming back to her hometown for her grandfather's funeral. He was the owner of the only diner in town and he gave it to Hailey to run. Needing some air from a diner full of people stopping to pay their respect, Hailey wonders outside. There she meets a kind stranger, Brock Silvanus. But the next day he comes into the diner and is very rude and trying to take over the diner, like everyone tried to tell her at the funeral yesterday. But Hailey stands up to him, telling him she makes the rules and if he did not like it he could leave. Silvanus is losing his touch with his town and the people. He decides to find his mate if he wants to stay in charge and regain his strength. This is a great series to read on those long rainy weekend, with a cup of hot chocolate by you side, love it.I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The cover alone wins five stars, and the story inside side deserves the rating as well.One of the greatest virtues of the story is that the characters were so well done I sometimes forgot they were "woodland creatures" and yet I still saw them in my mind as the fox or as the bear or whatever animal the characters happened to be.I also appreciated the author's smart use of language.I received an ARC in return for an honest review.

Shipley Gotta love a small town rocked by murder. …so long as it’s all fiction, of course!I was more or less raised on Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot, so when I was offered an ARC of this novel pitched as “Agatha Christie + Beatrix Potter = dapperly dressed animals commit and solve crime”, I was in. (Besides, the book’s cover is just five kinds of fantastic!)The story of “Shady Hollow” is much like the town from which the title takes its name—cute and quirky, fluffy and fun, with a touch of ominous darkness lurking in the quiet corners. Though the frequent rehashing and mulling over of the mystery’s details felt repetitious at times, things were never so dull that I didn’t push ahead, still eager to find out whodunit and why, while enjoying the narrative’s mild wit along the way. I had my eye on a few characters as my number one (and, y’know, two and three) suspects, but in the end, the killer slipped past me. I’d feel more of a failure, but hey – our investigative fox protagonist was kept guessing, too!If you’re in the mood for a little light murder with a bit more fur and feathers than usual, you may wanna get your paws on this one.

I've never read a book quite like this. The idea of talking animals in an adult mystery is so, so terrific, and the characters here are well-drawn and fun to read about (my favorites were the snake and owl). Oh, and such clever wordplay! All in all, very charmed by this unusual story.

Wimmer Yes I love Indie author Nicolette Pierce so when Biker Brigade came out I was excited to see what would happen to Mars, Brett and the mashup of different characters that have floated in and out of the Mars Cannon series.This series has always been a really fun combination of laughs, suspense, romance and nail biting moments and this book doesn't disappoint. With the large cast of characters their are moments of getting lost but the author tried to keep it easy with only mentioning names and not having have dialog. With the new additions to the story I wonder how Nicolette Pierce will be able to keep readers from getting lost. You have Brett's family, two sets of biker groups, bar friends, friends and lets not forget the killer enemies.I have found that Nicolette other series always seem to have a really good book but the next one wasn't near as fun but with this series each book get better and better. The characters grow, develop and change, thankfully not being stagnate like the Stephine Plum series by Janet Evanovich. This is a quick easy read that a reader can finish in a day or enjoy throughout a nice cool weekend.Nicolette keeps true to her characters and will have the readers excited for the next installment of the Mars Cannon series.

This is totally not a standalone book, so if you haven't read the first three books, get on it! Mars is always good for plenty of suspense mixed with plenty of laughs and a lot of heart. Let's also not forget the chemistry between Mars and Brett. Even though suspicions linger between them for much of this story, they are still somehow drawn to each other. Personally, I enjoyed the addition of Rand to the series, and I can't wait to see what happens now that he is going to be a permanent fixture. Sweet Evan was also back for a minute in this story, and that made my day. Brett was the right choice, but I still have a soft spot for Evan. All in all, it was everything I love and expect from this series.

This book turned out to be a diamond in the rough as far as books go. I originally planned to read this book because my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. I was little then but I remembered she was a hand full at times to deal with and just wished I could have done more.The book opens with some background on the effects of Alzheimer's disease and some of the thing that someone suffering will go through.As the book moves forward we are introduced to Daisy. I love the way she is introduced in several present day to flashbacks, giving a full understanding on the authors prospective of his mother's life. This way we get to see both sides of how the disease has affected her and her family.This a story that is told in such a way that you start feeling that you are a part of it even though you are just reading along. The author has done an amazing job that feels as though complete immersion in this story.Having to deal with an elderly parent is one thing but having to deal with a parent that doesn't know who you are at any given time is pure hell. I commend the author for telling this story as he did.This book is one of the most inspirational yet heart wrenching tales ever told and I'm so glad that I read it.

Kraft At the last minute, Kate Sharp is asked by her boss to attend a Regency themed English house party in place of a researcher. Being a lover of all things Jane Austen, she is happy to go. The invitation also comes at the same time her friend Beatrice, who is the hostess of the house party, asks to meet with her concerning a series of poison pen "letters" she and her husband has been receiving on social media sites.Shortly after arriving to the party, one of the guests is found murdered in a locked bedroom next to Kate's. When evidence turns up, Kate soon finds herself the prime suspect. Not only must she look into Beatrice's problem, now with evidence pointing to her, Kate must investigate the murder herself if she doesn't want to find herself behind bars. This book has a cast of colorful characters, and a great plotline. I thought the clues were well placed in the book and it read at a good pace; and as usual with Sara Rosett's books, it was well written. I recommend this to all cozy mystery lovers.**Please note: I was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for a honest review.

By Amazon Customer I have to acknowledge I am not a Jane Austen fan; therefore, I have not read any of the Murder on Location series. I am a big fan of Sara Rosett’s books. When I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review, I jumped in with both feet. Once I began, I did not want to put Death in a Stately Home down. At first, I must admit that I had a hard time keeping all the characters straight, but I got them sorted out room by room. Sara is very good at describing the setting and you feel as if you are right there. Having read the third book, I want to go to the beginning and see how the characters have developed and to learn more about Nether Woodsmoor. I was hesitant to read about a Jane Austen aficionado and did not know how she would fit into my favorite Rosett cozy mystery characters. However, I like Kate Sharp, her boyfriend Alex and his little sister.The story line is engaging. Location scout, Kate Sharp, has a sharp eye and is invited at the last minute to be a guest at a Regency-themed English house party. The owner asks her to help investigate what is going on at Parkview Hall. She has more than she bargained for when she becomes the main suspect for murder. Sara Rosett keeps you wondering whodunit. The author has a way of developing interesting puzzles to solve with fun characters in beautiful settings. I am always looking forward to the next Zoe Hunter journey and Ellie Avery escapade. By Mystery Book Lover I was very excited to receive a free copy of this book to review and I also purchased a copy for my collection. I couldn't wait for this book to come out! Having fallen in love with Sara's Ellie series, I am now an avid Kate fan too!When Kate is accused of murder in this latest book, my heart skipped a beat! I always have a hard time when my favorite main characters are accused of the crime! Sara keeps the reader on the edge of their seat as she takes you on this British who dun it!Sara has a way of developing characters so you feel like they are someone you personally know. Her scenery descriptions make me want to visit the places in her books! Buy a copy & you won't be disappointed!
